Anna Nordstrom has officially become the permanent head of the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, effective immediately. She has been acting as interim leader since December 2024 following Michelle Neal’s resignation.
Having worked at the New York Fed since 2008, Nordstrom led the International Markets function for 15 years. Her leadership comes amid economic pressures, including high inflation and volatility in financial markets, as well as demands for interest rate cuts.
