Lam Dong province is set to merge with two others into a new province from July 1, 2025, focusing on attracting investments in tourism and industry. Local government has organized 6 task forces to resolve legal complexities for 300 overdue projects and held an investment promotion conference to approve large projects. Notably, the 5 billion USD NovaWorld Phan Thiet project by Novaland and many other projects by Sun Group in Mui Ne reflect this growing interest in real estate. The mining sector is also being heavily explored, led by DGC and THACO proposing to invest hundreds of trillions in bauxite. Additionally, renewable energy and hydropower projects are a priority with several significant investments planned. Lam Dong is currently enhancing transport infrastructure and resource exploitation to transform into a major economic center.
