    If passed, the proposal will affect the annual yield (APY) of SNX stakers. Synthetix will only earn revenue through transaction fees and distribute this money to SNX holders.

    According to the Crypto Carbon Ratings Institute (CCRI)’s report, the energy consumption of PoW blockchains, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, is over 83 million kilowatts per hour (kWh) and 22 million kWh, respectively.

    In comparison, Tron had a yearly energy consumption of 162,868 kWh for over 2.31 billion transactions, or roughly 99.9% less than the power consumed by Bitcoin and Ethereum. This pegged Tron’s energy consumption as “equal to the energy consumption of 15 average U.S. households,” as per CCRI.

    The Beijing municipal government on Tuesday announced a two-year (2022–2024) Metaverse innovation and development plan that would require all districts to adhere to the newly released Web3 innovation plan.

    According to the official document, the government plan to promote digital education scenarios, support in-depth cooperation between Metaverse-related technology companies and educational institutions, expand intelligent and interactive online education models, and develop industry-wide digital teaching platforms.
