    Google invested a whopping $1.5B into blockchain companies since September

    Google parent company Alphabet poured the most amount of capital into the blockchain industry compared to any other public company, investing $1.5 billion between Sep. 2021 and Jun. 2022, a new report shows.

    Four blockchain companies that Google invested in include digital asset custody platform Fireblocks, Web3 gaming company Dapper Labs, Bitcoin infrastructure tool Voltage, and venture capital company Digital Currency Group.

    According to Chosun biz, the South Korean government has investigated unregistered overseas exchanges, including MEXC, Phemex, Kucoin, Bitrue, Poloniex, CoinEx,BTCEX etc.

    According to the FIU, all crypto exchanges in Korea are required to register with the FSC by meeting a set of strict know-your-customer and AML requirements. As of Aug. 10, there are a total of 35 registered crypto exchanges in Korea and all them are local firms.
