    Russia to legalize cryptocurrency as means of payment ‘sooner or later’

    Russia will sooner or later legalize cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Wednesday, suggesting that the government and central bank may be moving closer to settling their differences.

    Manturov said regulations for the use of cryptocurrencies would in the first instance be formulated by the central bank, and then by the government.

    In a tweet today, Axie Infinity stated that the MEE6 bot which was installed on their main Axie server was compromised. MEE6 is a discord bot that is used by many crypto projects for automating tasks and messages.

    According to the investigation, the hacker used the MEE6 and added fake permissions to a fake Jiho account, after which fake announcements regarding a mint were posted on the channels. Soon after, the MEE6 bot was removed, and the fake messages were deleted. Still, as per one user, their NFT and domain were already stolen.
