PAN Group collaborates with 2 Japanese giants to test ‘resistance-boosting’ products for crops in Vietnam

On September 4, PAN Group signed a cooperation agreement with Japanese partners AGRI SMILE and Mitsubishi Research Institute to promote sustainable agricultural value chains through the trial of biostimulant products in Vietnam. These biostimulants will help crops, especially rice, increase nutrient absorption, withstand climate challenges, and improve yield. They are derived from natural sources and support plant health rather than just providing nutrients like traditional fertilizers. Japan is a key strategic partner, with 30% of PAN’s export revenue coming from there. Amid the growing demand for rice in Japan, PAN is also boosting exports to various markets. For 2024, PAN expects a consolidated revenue of VND 16.182 trillion (approximately USD 650 million), with exports to Japan nearing USD 100 million.
