PancakeSwap community proposes reducing CAKE maximum supply to 400 million

The PancakeSwap community has proposed lowering CAKE’s maximum supply from 450 million to 400 million. Since April 2025, daily emissions reduced from approximately 40,000 to 22,500, resulting in a net burn of roughly 8.19%.

This adjustment could provide a sufficient buffer of 50 million CAKE, allowing for future growth while minimizing inflation risks. The ecosystem growth fund currently holds approximately 3.5 million CAKE.
