On September 15th, PayPal introduced ‘PayPal Links’ for seamless payments via text and social applications. This feature supports cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and PYUSD, aimed at easing transactions for users.
Expected to expand into the UK and Italy by September 2025, users can transfer funds instantly between PayPal, Venmo, and supported crypto wallets. Note that payment links expire after 10 days and personal transfers are not subject to 1099-K taxation.
