HDCapital has acquired 15.3 million shares, representing 14.34% of Petrosetco (PET), making it the second-largest shareholder after the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group. This transaction happened on July 28, with a total volume of 20.3 million shares, approximating a transaction value of nearly 570 billion VND. Concurrently, several executives from Petrosetco filed to sell all their shares between August 6 and September 4. Prior to this, VietinBank Capital significantly reduced its stake from 9.37% to 2.06%. The company plans to divest its entire 23.2% state ownership this year, potentially leading to major changes in shareholder structure. PET shares have surged nearly 50% in a month, currently priced at 36,300 VND per share, with a market capitalization of about 3.9 trillion VND. For the 2025 business plan, Petrosetco aims for consolidated revenues of 20.5 trillion VND and plans a maximum dividend payout of 10%.
