Prime Minister assigns tasks: Hoa Phat to produce rails, THACO to manufacture train cars, Vingroup to build metro from HCM City to Can Gio

On the afternoon of March 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the National Steering Committee on important transportation projects. He stressed the need to expedite the organizational structure of the Steering Committee and required localities to quickly clear the ground for projects. Specifically, the Vietnam Railway Corporation is assigned to produce rails, Trường Hải Group to manufacture train cars, and Vingroup to implement the metro project connecting HCM City with Can Gio. The Prime Minister also emphasized that provinces must hand over land for projects to be completed by 2025 on schedule, while promoting a competition to complete 3,000 km of highways. A inspection team will be established to review and resolve problems in the process of implementing these projects.
