Reddit announced on August 30th that it will end its Avatar Creator Program, ceasing new submissions. Remaining submissions will be reviewed by the end of September.
The Avatar Store will shut down on November 11th but users can keep and use their favorite avatars. However, the ability to showcase collections and transfer NFTs will be removed from profiles.
All royalties from secondary sales will now go directly to creators, with contract updates planned to ensure this. Additionally, Reddit will remove the “Vault” feature, allowing wallet exports until January 1, 2026.
