Revenue Drop, BAF Vietnam’s Net Profit Still Increases by 12.5% in Q1/2025

Baf Vietnam Agricultural Joint Stock Company (MCK: BAF) has just announced its consolidated business results for Q1/2025. Revenue reached 1,123.6 billion VND, a nearly 10% decrease compared to the previous year, mainly from livestock activities. After deducting costs, gross profit was nearly 290.5 billion VND, up 127.5%. Financial revenue fell by 37.7%, while financial expenses rose by 44.3%. Selling and management expenses also significantly increased. BAF reported a net profit of 133.5 billion VND, up 12.5% compared to the same period last year. For 2025, BAF aims for a revenue of 5,601.7 billion VND and a post-tax profit of 638.6 billion VND. As of March 31, 2025, BAF’s total assets reached nearly 8,588.1 billion VND, up 15.3%, with cash and equivalents increasing by 5.5 times compared to the beginning of the year. BAF also acquired 3 more companies, bringing the total subsidiaries to 25, although total liabilities increased by 22.3% to nearly 5,518.8 billion VND.
