Revolut files for US national bank charter with OCC and FDIC

Revolut has submitted an application for a US national bank charter to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The charter would grant the fintech company access to Fedwire and ACH payment systems, enabling it to offer loan products and FDIC-insured deposit accounts. This move represents a significant step in Revolut’s expansion into traditional banking services in the United States.
