Revolut will enable Bitcoin payments through the Lightning Network for users in the UK and European Economic Area. The initiative aims to enhance transaction speed and reduce costs.
To use the Lightning payment feature, Revolut users are required to complete identity verification (KYC) and must hold Bitcoin in their accounts.
The UK government will not establish a national crypto reserve, contrasting with the U.S. Approach and focusing on collaboration with U.S. Digital asset regulations.
