Ripple has unloaded 1 billion XRP in four transactions valued at approximately 1,616,900 USD. Following the release, they locked back 700 million XRP into escrow.
The price of Bitcoin fell over 14% due to market anxiety, impacting XRP’s price which dropped from 1.80 USD to 1.54 USD. Both cryptocurrencies experienced slight recoveries after the drop.
