Ripple’s latest Q1 report reveals that it has 4.56 billion XRP tokens, a modest increase of 1.7% from the prior quarter. The number of XRP tokens in escrow has decreased to 37.1 billion due to a 2.3% reduction.
The company released 1 billion XRP from escrow on May 3 as part of its monthly token schedule. Ripple is strategically utilizing part of its XRP for acquisitions, such as Hidden Road and possibly Circle, with the current trading price of XRP at 2.15 USD, equating to a total valuation of 98.6 billion USD.
