Russia hits crypto farm in ramp up to illegal mining operators

Russian authorities have closed a large illegal cryptocurrency mining farm in Siberia, impacting local power grids and generating illegal profits of up to 4.6 million rubles (approximately 60,000 USD) monthly.

This crackdown reflects Russia’s ongoing efforts to regulate the cryptocurrency mining industry, focusing on illegal operations to address concerns such as safety violations and electricity theft.
