Russian court extends detention of pilot arrested for sending crypto to Ukraine military

In Krasnodar, the Russian authorities arrested a pilot for allegedly sending crypto to Ukrainian forces. The Federal Security Service (FSB) claims he converted rubles into cryptocurrency, ultimately transferring it to a Ukrainian military wallet. His detention period has now been extended to April 16, 2025.

Since the war began in February 2022, 792 individuals in Russia have been charged with aiding Ukraine through treason or espionage, including crypto-related cases. The FSB continues to employ blockchain analytics to track and arrest those contributing to Ukrainian military funding.
