The Chairman of Saigon Ground Services (SGN) stated that the departure of Vietjet Air could reduce profits by about 20%, as Vietjet accounts for 40% of the company’s revenue. To “compensate,” SGN is negotiating with Sun PhuQuoc Airways for new contracts, which are expected to bring in 200 billion VND in annual revenue. The company also secured a contract from United Airlines, adding 60 billion VND in revenue. While it forecasts a 15% revenue drop in 2025, profits could fall by as much as 41% due to salary and bonus costs for staff, SGN remains committed to ensuring employee benefits. The company plans to develop Long Thanh Airport by 2026 and expand cargo services to create future growth opportunities.
