SC Ventures of Standard Chartered aims to raise 250 million USD for new digital asset fund

SC Ventures, the venture capital branch of Standard Chartered, is planning to raise 250 million USD for a new fund aimed at digital assets in financial services. Gautam Jain announced the fund’s global focus and support from Middle Eastern investors.

In addition to the digital asset fund, SC Ventures is preparing a 100 million USD investment fund for Africa and contemplating a venture debt fund. They are also reinforcing their operations in Saudi Arabia, aiming for a domestic fund in 2026 focused on minority investments.
