Scotland’s Lomond School accepts Bitcoin for tuition payments, a first in the UK

Beginning in Autumn 2025, Scotland’s Lomond School will accept Bitcoin for tuition, marking a first for UK education institutions. The move aims to incorporate the principles of sound money from the Austrian School of Economics.

The school views Bitcoin as a case study in economics, promoting inclusivity for developing nations. Initially, only Bitcoin will be accepted and converted to fiat currency immediately, reflecting a strategy against rising inflation.
