In 2024, the revenue and profit of the shipping industry are expected to increase significantly, with many companies like Hải An (HAH), Vosco, and VIMC intensifying their fleet expansion efforts. HAH has recently completed the construction of 4 container ships, owning 16 vessels with a total capacity of 26,500 Teu. VIMC aims to invest in new ships and retire older ones that do not meet environmental standards. Vosco plans to invest in 10 vessels, including one bulk carrier and the construction of 4 Ultramax ships, focusing on improving fleet efficiency. Vinaship is also expanding its fleet with bulk carriers. The market is influenced by international factors, with increased demand for shipping and container freight rates anticipated, and shipping companies’ profits expected to rise by 15% this year, peaking in 2025.
