In the first half of 2025, Singapore reported a fraud loss of S$456 million, down S$66 million compared to 2024. Cryptocurrency-related scams accounted for S$81.6 million, approximately 18% of the total losses, primarily involving Tether, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
The Anti-Fraud Command recovered S$56.7 million, with S$17 million originating from cryptocurrency. Their efforts helped avert an additional S$179 million in potential losses, showing effective fraud prevention strategies in response to rising cybercrime.
