Small setups, big wins: Is solo Bitcoin mining making a comeback?

Solo miners are successfully claiming full Bitcoin block rewards, even amid increased competition. Recent findings show that a miner achieved a reward of 3.125 BTC (over 372,000 USD) due to efficient hardware and favorable circumstances, marking a resurgence in solo Bitcoin mining.

The trend of solo mining is driven by both economic incentives, such as possible high rewards, and ideological beliefs in decentralization. However, the dominance of mining pools poses risks to the overall network’s decentralization, prompting a call for more independent miners.
