Somnia launches mainnet with native SOMI token after 10 billion testnet transactions

Somnia, developed by UK-based Improbable, has launched its mainnet and native SOMI token following a successful testnet phase.

The testnet processed over 10 billion transactions and onboarded 118 million unique wallet addresses, setting a record of 1.9 billion transactions in a single day.

Aiming for over one million transactions per second, Somnia’s ecosystem includes gaming and social applications, with SOMI token utilized for transaction fees and governance.
