South Korea imposed sanctions on 15 North Korean individuals for their involvement in cybercriminal activities, focusing on cryptocurrency theft. This marks a significant increase, with 1.34 billion USD stolen this year, representing 61% of all thefts.

Kim Cheol-min is a notable figure, having infiltrated IT firms in the U.S. And Canada to send substantial funds back to North Korea, aiding military operations and ongoing cyberattacks.
