The LNG Power Plant Project in Quang Ninh, with an investment of 2.2 billion USD, is currently being accelerated as local authorities collaborate with investors and relevant parties to address infrastructure and land issues. Located on nearly 110 hectares in Cua Ong ward, the plant is expected to have 2 turbines with a total capacity of 1,500MW. After finalizing tender documents and land lease, Cua Ong ward cleared 34 hectares of land in September 2025. All parties agreed on plans for electricity, water supply, and transportation to support construction. Authorities are committed to closely cooperating to ensure the project can commence on December 19, contributing to the province’s clean energy transition goals.
