On July 21, 2025, SSI Securities Corporation officially appointed Nguyen Duc Thong, born in 1988, as its CEO. Mr. Thong has experience working at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, and holds a degree from Cambridge University. SSI Chairman, Nguyen Duy Hung, emphasized that this decision aims to take SSI into a new development phase, especially in the digital era. SSI also reported its Q2 financial results, with total revenue of VND 2,940 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 1,144 billion, reflecting increases of 27% and 10% compared to the same period in 2024. The estimated consolidated revenue for Q2 is VND 3,030 billion, achieving 53.9% of the 2025 revenue plan. As of June 30, 2025, SSI’s total assets were VND 90,978 billion, with equity of VND 27,687 billion, marking increases of 25.4% and 6.6% compared to the end of 2024. Margin and advance lending reached over VND 33,134 billion, a 50.6% increase since the end of 2024.
