SSI’s digital asset company officially increases capital to a trillion

SSI Digital Joint Stock Company has increased its charter capital from 200 billion to 1 trillion VND as of October 15. Established in 2022, SSI Digital operates in the field of digital assets and blockchain, with SSI Securities holding 68.54% of the capital. SSI Chairman Nguyen Duy Hung also holds the same position at SSI Digital. In the Q3 financial report, SSI Digital was only an indirect affiliate. SSI has also decided to purchase 15 million shares of SSI Digital privately at 10,000 VND per share. The Vietnamese cryptocurrency market is starting to appear, with many organizations participating, including securities companies and banks, preparing for a long-term race in this field. Government Resolution 5 allows for a 5-year pilot of the cryptocurrency market, requiring a minimum capital of 10 trillion VND for exchanges, with 65% of that held by institutional shareholders. A maximum of 5 companies may be licensed to establish exchanges before 2026.
