StarkWare has launched a zero-knowledge proof for Bitcoin, allowing mobile users to verify transactions in under 100 milliseconds with a proof size of just 1 MB, rather than downloading over 680 GB of blockchain data.
This innovation using Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) makes Bitcoin transactions easier for users, eliminating the need for setting up expensive Bitcoin nodes, which can cost between 300 USD to 1,000 USD.
