State-owned Enterprise to Disburse 1,500 Billion in Dividends After Dismissing CEO

On June 11, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will pay a dividend of 12% (1,200 VND/share) estimated totalling around 1,500 billion VND. Payment is scheduled for June 24. Recently, CEO Dao Nam Hai was dismissed from his post effective May 30 by the Board of Directors, and the Ministry of Finance has suspended his representative role in the company pending further investigation. Looking ahead to 2025, Petrolimex forecasts consolidated revenue of 248 trillion VND and pre-tax profit of 3.2 trillion VND. In Q1/2025, the company reported 67.861 trillion VND in net revenue, down 9.6% year-on-year, while pre-tax profit dropped 75.1%. Petrolimex’s stock (PLX) is currently trading at 36,000 VND/share, down nearly 5% since the beginning of the year.
