Stocks of Vietnam’s Dollar Billionaires Experience Fluctuations

On August 5, the stock market witnessed strong growth, particularly among the stocks of Vietnam’s dollar billionaires. Vingroup’s stock (VIC) owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong rose 6.47% to 118,400 VND/share. Other companies within the Vingroup group also saw significant increases, with Vinhomes (VHM) up 6.18% and Vietjet Air (VJC) up 2.04%. Vuong’s wealth increased by 17.3 trillion VND to 267 trillion VND, placing him 217th on the global rich list with 12.3 billion USD. Similarly, HDBank (HDB), led by billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, was up 3.39%, while Hoa Phat (HPG) owned by billionaire Tran Dinh Long rose by 4.94% with over 76.4 million shares traded. Other leaders like Ho Hung Anh and Nguyen Dang Quang also saw their net worth increase by 165 million and 36 million USD, respectively, indicating positive developments in the financial market.
