Supreme People’s Court plans to combat crimes related to money laundering with virtual currencies

Wang Bin highlighted the Supreme People’s Court’s new priorities in tackling crimes associated with telecommunications and internet fraud, especially by targeting the ringleaders involved.

The court aims to crack down on financial backers and human smugglers who facilitate cross-border fraud, addressing the broader criminal infrastructure.

The initiative will encompass severe offenses like intentional homicide and kidnapping in connection with money laundering through virtual currencies.
