Surprise at FPT Telecom: Deputy General Director of GELEX Nominated by GTEL – Ministry of Public Security to the Board of Directors

FPT Telecom has announced documents for the extraordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting in 2025, scheduled for December 24, 2025. This event marks the first time the Ministry of Public Security represents state capital ownership at FPT Telecom. The main agenda is to dismiss and elect new members for the Board of Directors (BOD) and Supervisory Board to reflect the new ownership structure. Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung, Deputy General Director of GELEX, is nominated for the BOD of FPT Telecom with the role of Senior Advisor of GTEL (under the Ministry of Public Security). Other candidates include Mr. Vo Manh Cuong and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh. FPT Telecom also proposed to dismiss former members from SCIC. This transfer includes 50.2% of FPT Telecom’s equity to the Ministry of Public Security, aimed at enhancing technological and telecommunications resources for national security management.
