Technology Unicorn VNG Plans Name Change, Expected Loss of 620 Billion VND in 2025

CTCP VNG (UPCoM: VNZ) projects its revenue for 2025 to reach approximately 10.773 trillion VND, a 16.2% increase compared to 2024, but still forecast a net loss of 620 billion VND, a 47% reduction from the previous year. The company will not distribute dividends and will reinvest profits into areas such as e-wallets, video games, and cloud computing services. VNG is also planning to change its name to CTCP Tập đoàn VNG to align with its new business strategy. The company will focus on sustainable growth and selective investment, implementing an “AI-First” strategy to optimize technology and costs. Additionally, VNG plans to issue 418,807 ESOP shares for employees at a price of 30,000 VND per share and will elect a new board of directors for the 2025 – 2030 term without compensation.
