According to Spot on Chain, on September 16, The Tether Treasury minted 1 billion USDT on Ethereum. Notably, this minting comes just ahead of the expected interest rate cut by FED on Sep 17-18.
In the past year, the Tether Treasury has issued a total of 35 billion USDT, contributing to the rise of the Bitcoin price from $26,600 to over $73,000 in March. After significant USDT mints, the BTC price often experiences an upward trend or stabilization.
