Thai Billionaires Pocket Over 35 Trillion VND in Dividends from Vinamilk, Sabeco, Binh Minh Plastics…

At the end of the year, several Thai billionaires earned about 35 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) in dividends from major Vietnamese companies such as Vinamilk, Sabeco, and Binh Minh Plastics. Vinamilk is the largest source of dividends, contributing 16.5 trillion VND, mainly benefiting billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, due to stable annual payout ratios. Since 2017, F&N has increased its share in Vinamilk to over 20%, second only to the State.

Sabeco is another significant source with approximately 15.5 trillion VND in dividends, although the Thai billionaire is currently at a loss on this investment but maintains a long-term strategy to dominate the Vietnamese beer market. Binh Minh Plastics contributed 3 trillion VND in dividends, ensuring annual payouts since Nawaplastic became a major shareholder in 2012. Other companies like SVI and FMC also provide steady returns to Thai investments.
