The 2024 annual report of 21 large enterprises in Vietnam reveals that the percentage of female personnel is lower in many sectors, especially in heavy industry and technology. Hoa Phat Group (HPG) has only 12% female staff, while the banking sector has a percentage of women around 60%. Vingroup (VIC) stands out with 37.3% female personnel but 59% of leaders are female. Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong believes women have management strengths. In contrast, Vinhomes has a lower ratio of female staff and managers than Vingroup. Masan Group (MSN) has 62.4% female staff but only 43% are female leaders. Sacombank is the only bank with under 50% female staff and the lowest percentage of female leaders (24.1%). Overall, Vietnamese women have high labor market participation but still face inequalities in leadership opportunities.
