The Profit Race Between Beer Giants Sabeco and Habeco

The profit competition between Sabeco and Habeco shows clear differentiation in Q2 2025. Sabeco saw a decline in revenue, reporting over 6,804.3 billion VND, down 15.9% year-on-year, with a net profit of 1,250.7 billion VND, down 5.2%. Key factors included reduced production and increased costs. In contrast, Habeco reported revenue of 2,355.7 billion VND, an increase of 50 billion VND, with a net profit of nearly 159.6 billion VND, down 7.2%. Habeco also noted a 37.6% rise in financial income, despite growing expenses. In the first half of the year, Sabeco’s cumulative revenue reached nearly 12,615.1 billion VND (down 17.4%), while Habeco’s was 3,813.8 billion VND (up 5.5%). Sabeco’s financial status shows a slight decrease in total assets, with increased liabilities, whereas Habeco improved its total assets with a higher rise in liabilities compared to the start of the year. The two companies are showing different business strategies amid challenging market conditions.
