A global 6G development alliance led by Qualcomm has brought together major tech companies like Google and Samsung, along with three representatives from Vietnam: FPT, Viettel, and VNG. The alliance aims to validate the system and showcase pre-commercial devices by 2028, with a goal of commercialization in 2029. This new generation of technology promises to be AI-native, supporting key areas such as smart transportation and digital manufacturing in Vietnam.

Qualcomm’s CEO, Cristiano Amon, stated that 6G will not only represent the next wireless technology but will also be a foundation for a future where AI is integrated into all devices. Viettel and VNG play crucial roles, with Viettel developing infrastructure and VNG enhancing AI capabilities for millions of users in Southeast Asia.
