Trump appoints Mark Uyeda as acting SEC chair

Mark Uyeda has been appointed by President Trump as the acting chair of the SEC, taking over from Gary Gensler. Alongside Peirce, Uyeda aims to overhaul existing crypto policies.

The SEC, comprised of Uyeda, Peirce, and Democrat Caroline Crenshaw, may face challenges in implementing reforms due to the requirement of unanimous approval for new regulations.
