Trump says he’ll let UAE buy ‘top-tier’ American AI chips

Trump announced a significant agreement to let the UAE import advanced AI chips, specifically Nvidia H100, aiming for 500,000 annual units. This is seen as a major advancement in UAE’s AI capabilities.

The Trump administration plans to lift chip export bans implemented during the Biden administration, intended to maintain technological supremacy over potential adversaries, particularly affecting allies like the UAE.

The UAE is also set to increase its investment in the U.S. Energy sector, aiming to boost its commitment from 70 billion USD to 440 billion USD by 2035, strengthening economic ties with the U.S.
