Ukraine is considering replacing the US dollar with the euro due to evolving economic partnerships with Europe and geopolitical factors. Central Bank Governor Andriy Pyshnyi cited instability and military aid as significant influences on this potential change. Euro transactions are slowly increasing.
With Trump reinstated and imposing tariffs, the dollar’s strength has waned, pressuring countries to reconsider their reliance on it. Pyshnyi projects a positive economic outlook with 3.7% to 3.9% growth in coming years, contingent on ongoing reforms and peace in the region.
