Ukraine sanctions 60 firms and 73 individuals linked to Russia’s crypto evasion

Ukraine has enacted sanctions affecting 60 companies and 73 individuals linked to Russian cryptocurrency evasion, freezing assets and halting activities. The move is aimed at combating financial schemes that support Russia’s military amidst tightening financial restrictions.

The decree not only targets entities in Russia but also includes foreign firms from Cyprus, Kazakhstan, and the UAE. President Zelenskyy’s initiative emphasizes aligning with international partners to reinforce sanctions against the use of crypto in geopolitical conflicts.
