The U.S. Department of Justice has disbanded its National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET) which was responsible for significant digital asset enforcement.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche emphasized that the DOJ will no longer act as a digital assets regulator, pointing to a shift toward individual fraud prosecutions rather than attacking larger platforms.
This decision reflects a softer regulatory approach under Trump’s administration, promoting growth and clarity within the evolving crypto landscape.
