US, Japan, and South Korea warn blockchain industry of North Korea’s ongoing CYBER threats

North Korea’s escalating cyberattacks are becoming a MAJOR threat to the blockchain sector, particularly targeting exchanges and custodians worldwide. The Lazarus Group, linked to DPRK, has stolen approximately 650 million USD in 2024, with significant breaches reported at DMM Bitcoin, Upbit, and Rain Management.

In response, the US, Japan, and South Korea are enhancing cooperation to bolster cybersecurity and impose stricter sanctions against DPRK CYBER actors.
