US man who sent crypto to ISIS could serve prison till he’s 65

From October 2019 to October 2022, Chhipa funded terrorism by converting donations into cryptocurrency and sending them to Turkey for smuggling into Syria, helping female ISIS members escape from prison.

Convicted in December by a federal jury, Chhipa is facing 30 years and four months for his actions. The Attorney General emphasized that funding terrorism leads to severe legal repercussions.
