On September 18th, US Senators, led by Elizabeth Warren, reached out to the DOJ regarding Binance’s compliance with its 2023 agreement. They highlighted the lack of clarity on Binance’s ongoing compliance status, despite confirmations of fine payments.
Lawmakers also expressed worries about the possibility of the DOJ removing Binance’s compliance monitor. The letter pointed to Binance’s connections with businesses linked to the Trump family, raising additional concerns about its regulatory adherence.
