VIC stock hits ceiling, Vietnam’s richest man adds over 2 trillion VND in one morning

In the morning trading session on March 24th, VIC shares of Vingroup experienced a strong price surge, reaching a peak of 56,600 VND/share, the highest in 18 months. This increase pushed the company’s market capitalization to 215.6 trillion VND (approximately 8.5 billion USD), making Vingroup the largest private enterprise on the Vietnamese stock exchange. VIC shares have risen by 40% in the past month, and other Vin-related stocks also saw positive increases. Notably, the net worth of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, increased by 2.2 trillion VND in just one morning. His total asset value is now over 110 trillion VND (about 4 billion USD), solidifying his position as the richest person on the Vietnamese stock exchange. According to Forbes, as of March 23rd, Vuong’s wealth is 7.1 billion USD, placing him 449th on the list of the world’s billionaires.
