The Ministry of Construction has approved Vietjet as the winning investor for the aircraft maintenance project at Long Thanh International Airport, with a contract value of 1.543 trillion VND. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will finalize the contract signing and oversee the implementation. The project aims to build maintenance facilities for aircraft No. 3 and 4, serving domestic airlines and ensuring national interests. It is expected to be completed by 2025 and operational by 2026, capable of maintaining at least 2 large aircraft and 4 smaller ones. Vietjet plans to contribute 0.05% of revenues to the state budget in the first 5 years, increasing to a minimum of 2% from the sixth year, with a 2.5% incremental rate.
